Founded in 1994, Hengli Group is an international enterprise focused on its core businesses and committed to the real economy, with a full industrial chain spanning refining, petrochemicals, polyester new materials, and textiles. In late 2020, our company successfully secured the contract for the product quality improvement and retrofit project of the 20kt/a high-purity liquid carbon dioxide facility—part of the 20-million-ton-per-year integrated refining and petrochemical project at Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. The project had previously utilized a process package from another industry player but failed to meet food-grade quality requirements. To meet the expected quality requirements, the client commissioned our company to provide optimization design and retrofitting services, complete equipment supply, and commissioning for the system. After the project began normal operation in early 2021, the product quality met the standards for high-purity food-grade carbon dioxide.

This retrofit involved adding a hydrocarbon removal unit to the ultra-high-purity production line and adjusting the refined desulfurization process, enabling the product to meet the standards for high-purity food-grade carbon dioxide.
